I am running windows 98 1st edition.
I did have it working until I try to install a PCI network card. Now it doesn't work anymore. I have uninstalled the network card and it still doesn't work. The problem is:
The onboard audio device is not detected unless I go into BIOS and disable AC97 modem. After I do that it recognized the audio device but then hangs when it tries to install the SIS updated drivers. So people suggested using the win95 realtek drivers, which will install but does not work either (but does not hang at least).
any suggestions?
the annoying thing is that it did work!
