Help with internet connection, disconnecting every 3 webpages or so....

AIM, Online games, and such work fine, but intenet browsers (netscape, IE, kazaa's internal browser), they all disconnect every 3 webpages or so, and i have to disconnect my cable modem and reconnect it to work... and then i just keep repeating the process over and over again, and its becoming a headache...
any ideas?
