Help with installing new hard drive!

I'm adding a WD160 to take the place of my WD120. I'm running XP & althouh it's recognized in the device manager, it doesn't show up in my computer. I know I need to fdisk it & format it, but is there a way to do it without using a 98 boot disk?

Select drive and format it there
