help with installing my plextor...

i moved my hard drive to my ide3 connector on my abitkt7 and it was working fine. i then installed my new plextor drive to the ide1 channel as a master. it recognizes it in the bios but doesn't seem to see it in my explorer and in windows???

please help!!

Assuming that you call the first ATA-100 IDE, ide3.

Make sure that in the Advanced BIOS screen the first Boot is the ATA-100.

Make sure that in the Standard CMOS Features IDE primary is set to None.

Make sure that the jumper at the back of the Plextor is set to Master.

Well, the maxtor is your boot drive, and windows boot up, I think everything is ok.
Yeah, it should be primary master.
Go to Windows Exporer, right click on drive C, then click properties. You could see the hard drive capacity, and if you didn't do any partition you should see the size of your maxtor drive.
