help with installation of PNY 6800 nu

im getting some weird problems when i try to install my 6800nu.
my computer runs fine on my fx5200, but when i put in the 6800, i get the message Cannot load OS.
my computer can't seem to detect the hardrive with the OS when i use the 6800. im running an ide hard drive as well as a scsi hardrive, as well as two opticals on a 410 watt power supply. could this problem because of the power supply? does my computer just not have enough power to run all of them at once?
what do you guys think?

If it is a crappy PSU, then maybe. I am using a Fortron 350w PSU also powering a 6800nu as well as 2 optical drives, 1 HDD, and 1 ZIP drive. Plus cold cathode and fans. I'm not having any issues as far as power goes.

The 6800 pulls a ton more watts then the 5200 so it could be the hdd is getting shorted on watts.
You might try just poweering up the hdd with the OS and the vid card for now. Dont power up the scsi device the scsi drive or any more optical drives than absolutely necessary.

Or put the hard drive on a separate power connector. Preferably the vid card should be on a single connector not shared with with any other device. It is the case with my rig
