Can anyone help ID this part? Found with various vintage car parts.
Its solid brass or bronze.
Thanks...

Looks like someone had time to kill and made the automotive equivalent of a jackalope. Looks like aluminum to me but could just be the pictures.

Hummm...? Does not appear to be a part from a reg car or truck...? But looks like something that went to a fire truck hose...? But cannot say for sure...?

I think you may have nailed it. Especially if it's brass.
As a former member of a fire dept. I would be surprised if it is related to the fire service. With the shotgun shell next to it the size makes it too small to move a volume of water etc. To me it looks like something to mix air , fuel or a diverter . Way too big for a blue bottle.

You would know so I will expound a bit further on my earlier post. I believe it's a nonsensical piece dreamed up as a training exercise. Perhaps for an apprenticeship. It would be a test of skills on various machines. Lathe, mill, perhaps a surface grinder too.

Regardless, I am 100% confident that it is not a part from a car.

Yeah, I sent one of the pictures to a firefighter friend who said he’d never seen anything like it in the fire service. The guy works on a heavy rescue truck so he’s probably seen most of the toys.
