Help with IBM TP570 dock

I am having a problem with the docking station on my 570. If it is docked at startup, the screen goes black, and will not boot. If I un-dock it, it boots fine. I have been able to start it up un-docked, then when the WinXP logo appears on teh screen, I can dock it, and it works fine. Also, if I reboot while docked, it restarts fine. Is this possibly a hardware issue? I was looking to see if it was a driver or maybe a corrupt OS.
Any help would be great. I am pleased with the laptop, but it is a little inconveinent.
Thanks!

i'll take a crack it it. Have you updated your BIOS? Sounds like when you are docked, the computer is looking to boot off docked device, whereas after you loaded OS, it just keeps going. Check the IBM site for BIOS update and XP issues.
