Help with I/O Panel

This is my first build and I can't seem to put the motherboard's I/O Panel in correctly. Need help putting the I/O shield on the motherboard. My board is MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum

So... the one that was in the case already didn't fit the motherboard so you took it out and now you can't get the one the came with the motherboard in?

It can be tricky the first time if you're afraid of breaking something (I know it can be).

If you haven't done it before, just kind of smash it in 😉. Put the narrow side in and line it up with the hole in the case on the end it should go to. Then get the long sides to go in as well as you can. At this point, it should be tough to get the other end in... just push really hard or lightly smash it in with something 😀. Be careful not to cut yourself on it though.

If that doesn't work, let us know.

Are you really trying to put the I/O shield on the motherboard, or do you have it properly attached to the case, and cant' get it lined up properly with the motherboard?

there have been occasions where it was loose when using the motherboard provided I/O shield. It usually stays put as soon as i smash and screw down the mobo... hehe.

I usually always keep a roll of sound deadening tape around. helps with rattling case parts.

Thanks for the help guys. My internet lagged a bit earlier so I couldn't check the forums but I got it in place and my first system ever is up and running!!!
