Help with HSF!

If you mount a hsf that runs off a 4 pin power supply, how do you get a board like the abit kt7a raid to recognize that the hsf is operating OK? The current bios, which I have, requires a fan be plugged into header 1 and operating above 200rpm or the bios will shutoff the power supply in 10 seconds.

I want to put in either a swiftech or modify my current hsf to able to mount an 80mm fan. Is there a workaround for this so that the bios will think there is a fan operating? The only thing I can think of is getting another 3 pin fan and plugging it in and using it to cool besides the cpu. There must be a better solution than that. I have checked that abit manual and the settings can't be altered.

Well, if you have an RPM monitoring lead, you can make a little 2pin connector to plug into header 1. You'll have the power wires on your 4 pin connector and the rpm lead going to the 2 pin.
