I'm stumped by an issue this laptop has, It only shows a grayish color on the LCD. I can plug a monitor into it and that works fine. I can adjust the lcd brightness with the function keys and see it change light to dark. I have disassembled the laptop to check the various connections with no luck.

Is there any way to test the lcd on something else to narrow down the possible culprits?

Would the video card be ok since VGA out is working fine?

Feel free to ask any questions, I'm just looking for ideas/input/help 🙂
