Help With GF3 Ti200 Performance

I upgraded drivers to the new Detonator drivers and My Frames Per Second in Counter Strike has been going bezerk, before I upgraded they were better. Most of the time i get 99.9 fps but when I run around the corner it drops to 40 or lower before it wouldn't drop any lower than 80.

I'm Running

Xp1900+
GF3 Ti200 (Not Overclocked)
256MB PC2700 RAM

Did you unistall the previous drivers, or just overwrite them?
Also, disable any anti-virus stuff when installing drivers, it sometimes messes them up for some reason.
Are you running with FSAA/AF?
Are you running Beta/Leaked ones, if so try using the latest WHQL ones from nVidia.
It it still doesnt work, then a temporary solution would be, go back to the older drivers.
Unless the new ones fix something for you, then theres no point in installing them just for the sake of saying that you have the latest. Sure, install the latest and run them, if theres no problems with them, but if there is, go back to the old ones, and wait for the next driver release.
