<< If it overclocked? >>

Nope

<< What drivers? >>

Default drives that windows uses when you first install it

<< What OS? >>

Win98

<< What mobo/CPU? >>

I've tried it with two different P3 mobos but I don't think that's the problem, prolly some hardware on the card is messed up

nVidia's site, go there for official drivers.

3D Chipset, go there for unofficial beta drivers.

Get rid of the windows drivers, thats a very good start.
Go with the official reference detonators unless you know what you're doing.

I had the same sort of problem about a year ago when I removed my TNT card and installed a geforce 256. I removed all the old drivers for the TNT card, but forgot that I had an oveclocking utility known as TNTclk
installed and enabled for use with the TNT card. The geforce did'nt like it and produced the graphical errors you speak of.
