 I wonder if anyone can help me with my dilema. I have a Biostar Slot 1 M6TBA (Intel 440BX) motherboard ver 1.3 that supposedly supports up to 133MHz FSB. My current process is a PIII 550. The current Award BIOS that I have does not have any setting available to change the FSB. Biostar does not support this board anymore so that I can't get a new BIOS. Does anyone know how or where I can get a newer BIOS that may have a FSB option. My current BIOS is dated 11/99. Thanks in advance.

I'm afraid your out of luck. The company's gone and is in MaximumPC's Doghouse. You can only change the fsb by moving a jumper on your motherboard.

I have found Biostar's website at www.biostar.com.tw and under the support section they have the manual listed for my board. In the manual it acually has listed that the FSB can be changed in the chipset area of the BIOS, however when I go into my BIOS that setting isn't available.
