Help with front mount USB ports...

I have an abit kt7-raid and would like to mount the extra usb ports in the front of my computer in one of the 3.5" drive bays. The ports themselves will mount easily and since I'm modding the case anyway, it should be no problem to screw them to the face plate. The problem is:

How to I get the 6" cord to reach the input on the motherboard?

I do not feel comfortable cutting the wires and then soddering in extensions. I do not like the pre-made usb ports that mount in the 3.5" drive bays because none that I have seeen will connect directly to the motherboard. They all seem to be require you to use one of the USB ports and bring the wire back through the back of the computer.

Thanks!

Haven't seen one, but maybe you need an "extension cable" probably with a male plug on one end and a female on the other end ?

Maybe try some of the parts places like Dalco ?

Just my $ .02

When not just buy a new set of longer usb headers? Will probabyl be the easiest and cheapest.

no one would really advertise the length of the cabling as far as i know.
