Help with first timer amd athlon 64 motherboard selection

I am about to build my first computer ,and i would like to pick a good,stable, and easy to setup motherboard based on the amd 64 socket 939. It needs to have pci express ,and doesn't have to be sli.

In other words for my bad wording and confusion at the top post. Which is best first timer socket 939 motherboard that doesn't have sli.

Yeah, the ASUS A8N-E would be very straight forward to setup, and it also has very good memory compatibility.

wouldn't it be a concern that it doesn't have firewire?

Do you use Firewire? Plenty of folks don't; it's disabled on my mobo right now.
Or, if you don't know if you will or not, do you plan on doing video editing of digital home-recorded content? If yes, you'll likely use Firewire as the interface for the camera, if no, you'll probably never need it.
