I doubt you can loose much weight in a few days. I used to weigh 230 (i'm 6"2) and now i'm down to 175, and that took me a few months.

This is all from mountain biking, I didn't really watch my diet, but I did cut out almost all sugary treats.

Indeed. Also eliminate salt so you don't retain water and take some diuretic supplements. This way, you strip your body of excess water. Not healthy, mind you, but will work over the short term.

eat right... make your own meals. it might be a little more expensive, but it totally pays off. i lost 20 lbs in a few weeks easy just by buying groceries and making my meals instead of eating out.

breakfast = 2 eggs, 2 lean sausage links, 2 pieces of toast, 1 piece of ham; rice crispies or cheerios with a little bit of honey and sliced bananas

snack = banana and milk; peanut butter on apple wedges

lunch = tuna sandwich; wrap with baby spinach, turkey, ham, cheese, onion; pb&j sandwich and apple or banana

dinner = boiled chicken breast with seasoning, steamed green beans lightly buttered and salted; diced chicken breast seasoned and sauteed with onions, steamed brussels sprouts; salmon filet, steamed green beans; salad, steak, sauteed onions

dessert = low carb ice cream bars (i recommend blue bunny sweet freedom krunch lites or strawberry); raspberries; low carb ice cream

also, do cardio and lift weights... building muscle burns lots of calories.

If you lose it fast, you will gain it back fast.

Proper diet and exercise should get you a MAX of a healthy 2 pounds per week. But that is exercising your ass off and eating the right foods at the right time.

i lost about 5 lbs per week, average, by just changing my diet and exercising in the morning.

Bread? Are you joking? If anything, for dramatic short-term weight loss, you would want total ketogenesis, so no carbs at all. And water, well, while it's essential, people cutting up will limit water just prior to the event requitring them to make the weight.

LOL no, no carbs will just burn muscle and make him lose water wiehgt and he will pass out during cardio. Go take your crappy no carb diet to someone who can tell you are just trying to sound smart with ketogenisis when you are actually an idiot.

I'm sure you're smart enough to know that long-term, permanent weight loss involves a consistent caloric deficit, induced through excercise, nutrition, and other lifestyle factors.

The op asked for advice pertaining to short-term weight loss. To me, this period is measured in days or weeks. In such a short time, the amount of fat that can be lost is very limited, but one can easily shed a lot of water weight. Is this healthy? No. Does it work? Absolutely.
