Can someone tell me what this message means and suggest a possible solution/fix. I get it when accessing other computers on my LAN. I get it from any of the computers on the LAN. It is not unique to just one machine.

"MPREXE caused an invalid page fault in
module MSNP32.DLL at 015f:7f2e315f."

My LAN consists of three computers using a Linksys Cable/DSL Router. All three machines are P3's on P3V4X's oc'd slightly (133FSB). All running Win98.

You could try to replace the 2 files it taking about from the original distribution of windows - but saying thst it is across all your machines. Disconnect the modem and machine remove networking protocols (right-click properties in network) reboot and then re install the network drivers. Then only connect 2 machines and work from there. It's slow but will probably work.

Also delete the inf file for you network card when you do this - you'll find it in windows/inf/other or possibly just windows/inf

So it asks for and install the drivers for your network cards.

Before you do that, go into your Network control panel and make sure there are no extra protocols installed, like Client for Netware Networks. Ideally you should just have Client for MS Networks, NetBEUI, and TCP/IP installed. You don't need Netware or IPX/SPX.
