Hope my link works.

Fresh install of win2k, 23.12 drivers w/leadtek 64MB ti200, fresh install of UT with latest update.
Sometimes I can play for an hour and sometimes 2 minutes. I get theis error here
and it crashes to desktop.
Any ideas?

Are you playing in opengl mode? If so, try playinh in standard direct3d and see if the problem goes away.

Are you overclocking? If I overclock too far, I'll get the same kind of crash. Does anything else crash? Serious Sam will also have problems on an unstable system. You may want to run Prime95 torture test to test your basic system stability before going any further. If that passes, then start looking at driver probs, etc.

Nope, not overclocking.
Athlon XP 1600
Volcano 7 HS
512 Crucial DDR (2 sticks)
On-board sound
epox 8kha+

Is opengl suppose to deliver better graphics than direct3d?

OpenGL is better, but not with your video card. I'd still run a Prime95 test just as a sanity check to be sure you don't have a system problem somewhere.

I think open gl is better. I'm not much of a gamer though. Just go AM Alice and it is open gl and it is a beautiful game.

Good luck with your problem.

Well opengL crashes also.

I left prime95 running when I left my house earlier today. I've never used it so can anyone give me any insight as to how to interpret the results? Or is it pretty straightforward?

You are running the torture test? If it is still running, its good. If there is an error, it stops and reports an error of some sort.
