help with eee pc 901 hackintosh. Cant fix resolution!

ok, so this is my first time doing a hackintosh and ive read tons and tons of internet articles to try and prep me for this. Ive got an eee pc 901 and its native resolution is a bit under what the default is so i cant see the top or bottom of the screen. needless to say, installing osx was a pain and if i want to upgrade to SN i cant see any of the menu functions at the bottom. I got the wireless to work as well as a few other things which is great, but i really just need to get this resolution fixed. Tried using different kexts but nothing seems to change. Step by step with links to files would be awesome!
