help with ECS K7S5A based system

Hi, I am having trouble with my ECS K7S5A system. I have a DVD rom and an 80 gig hd, a geforce 4 4200, and an audigy. The problem is that it won't start anymore. I'm not talking about windows freezing here, the start up information won't display and all it does when you turn it on now is the fans spin and the dvd drive's light blinks. This is very puzzling because it was just working fine in windows and everything, and now it won't even start at all. Could someone help me figure out whats wrong with it so I can get the computer working again?

Thanks

Sounds like a pretty typical problem. Try one of the following, or all of them

Check memory. Try just 1 stick of memory if you have more than 1, then try the other. The memory might be bad. If you only have 1 stick, borrow another one, or remove, then plug it back in again. It might not be inserted properly

Check AGP card. Your AGP graphics card might not be seated properly, and may need to be properly seated again. If you have a spare graphics card(PCI or AGP) try that too, your graphics card may be faulty

Check CPU and heatsink. The CPU may not be inserted properly, or the heatsink may not be attached properly.

If all else fails, boot with the minimal of components, that means removing everything except your CPU, motherboard and graphics card. Don't even plug in your HDD, you don't need it to POST. Take the setup out of the case and place it on a non conductive surface if it still won't boot, you may have a short in there somewhere that prevents it from booting.
