Help with DVD Playback. Picture freezes within 5 seconds of playback!!!

All of a sudden when ever I try to watch a DVD the film starts and after about 4 seconds the picture freezes! I thought it was a driver issue but have tried Cat 3.7, 3.8 and now the 3.9's but with no joy.

I use WMP9 for DVD playback and have tried PowerDVD also but with the same outcome. This just seemed to happen all of a sudden for no apparent reason! Can anyone start the ball rolling and give me an idea of what to check next...I'm tired of looking.. :frown:

Your system is powerful enough so I would ask how fast the DVD read speed on your drive is? Perhaps your drive is faulty...

I thought about that. It's a Pioneer 105 and I think it is fine as the it also happens with DVD playback from the hard drive. Foxing me this one... :frown:

How do I check and make sure that the Filter (IVIVIDEO.AX) is functioning properly?

G'damn, it's just started working for no reason...strange...very strange....
