I'm trying to extend my destop to my TV. I am familiar with this process, as I have a laptop that I've been doing this for a while. Normally I just go to Control Panel/Settings/Display, then go to the Settings tab. Select the second monitor and check "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor."
On my Desktop, however, the settings tab doesn't even give me the option of having a second monitor. It only shows a single monitor (ie there are no gray boxes with the number 1 and number 2 in them)
Using the NVidia driver program, I'm able to "Clone" my desktop (ie both displays are "number 1") or use the tv as a "Single" desktop, but it gives me no option to have a "dual" desktop where one is able to drag the mouse across the screen.
I've even enabled "Window spanning across multiple displays" under the Windows tab of nView Manager that comes with the nVidia software.
My setup:
ASUS A8N-SLI deluxe mb (I've never updated bios yet)
Leadtek winfast 6600GT
Thanks in advance for any help!
