Hello, fellow AT'ers. I'm trying to setup a dual-boot Win98SE/Win2K dual boot off of a SCSI hard disk, and I can't get the Win98 loader to recognize the SCSI drive. Right now I have a small IDE drive containing my Win98 install. I tried running Boot Magic from Partition Magic 7.0 to allow booting between the two drives but it won't allow me to start Win2K from the boot menu. The only way I can switch between OS's is to disable the IDE boot device in BIOS. System config as follows:

Antec SX1240 Performance Plus Case
Asus A7V333 mobo
Athlon XP 2200 (not o/c'd)
CoolerMaster HHC-001 HSF
1 x 512 Corsair DDR333 (not o/c'd)
Adaptec 19160 U160 SCSI Card
Maxtor/Atlas 10K III 36GB SCSI HDD - Win2k w/SP3
WD 20GB 5400RPM IDE HDD - Win98SE
Plextor PX-W1210TS-BPS SCSI-2 CDRW
Toshiba 305S SCSI-2 DVD-ROM
ATI Radeon 8500LE
CTX PL9 CRT
VIA 4-in-1 drivers

Before you ask, yes, I'm attached to older games and apps that won't run on Win2K.

Any suggestions/advice gladly accepted. Humor is appreciated but not necessary.

just a simple question...you did install 98 and then 2k, right? do it the other way and you have to add files into the 98 root directory.

Well, when I first attempted to setup the system, I tried loading Win98SE. It's boot loader would not let me add drivers for the 19160 card. After numerous retries, and some hair loss, I loaded Win2K, thinking that I would be able to add Win98 afterwards. No such luck. Needing to get Win98 up and functioning, I went and got a small IDE drive for Win98. I would still like to get both OS's on the same drive.

Also, I did read the FAQ on setting up Win9X after setting up NT4 or Win2K. Haven't had a chance to try it yet, but I will in the next couple of days. I'll post my results.
