help with DSL modem + SMC router

I recently got my GF a router for her house. She's got 2 laptops, but the thing is that only one of her Laptop can be online at a time, i want both of those to be online being shared... She's got the SMG Barricade G. It was free from me so Lol. Was wondering if i need to setup the SMC router or anything?...

I have cable, so mine just plugs in and bam! can share with wireless or line. Any help would be great!
 
oh ya i know how it looks like. i guess i'll have to get inside the router and program it to work with the IP address and such.
