Help with DSL Filters

I'm trying to install DSL at my aunt's house. All of the phones work with the filters just fine, except 2 rather old corded phones that receive power through the phone line.

With the filter installed, and the phone plugged into the filter, the phone's aren't receiving power and they don't work.

What can I do to fix this?

Have you tried to use the DSL modem without the filters on those two older phones? Also what kinda of phones are they? I had an old rotary phone that was hardwired (i.e. two copper wires spun around two contact leads) and I was unable to install a filter on that phone. However my DSL connection has had no problems with that phone in use. Maybe you can get by without the filters on those phones. There shouldn't be too much of an issue with interference or any of the other noise for that matter.

Suggestions:
1. Try the DSL connection without the filters installed on the two older phones
2. Try each of the older phones while someone is using the Internet (if there are any issues with regular phone use or Internet use)

Let us know if there are any issues.

Try a different brand of filter.
All that is needed in a filter is coils and capacitors and nothing in that filter would stop power from passing through.

If possible what I like to do is install an outdoor dsl filter. Then run dsl on the yellow/black pair and pots on red green. Changing the wiring at the jacks to match.
