Help with DS3 mobo

I am building a Gigabyte p965-DS3 system with core 2 duo and I will be OCing. I need to set up a third monitor with this system. I run stock charts and all - no video games here. DS3 has 1 PCIeX 16, 3 PCIeX1, and 3 PCI slots. what should I do for the second video adaptor . . . . PCIeX1 or PCI . . . I can get cheap PCI card that will serve my perpose just fine for the second card which will powerr the third monitor. If I go in that route will this slow down my system being a slow PCI card . . . I am not concerned with the speed of the video - no games . . . but I do need a lot of processing power . . . will the slow video card affect the processing power/speed in any way??? what other options do I have????? Thanks

If you're not running any games or graphic intensive programs on the third monitor, I don't see a problem with pci. I ran a PCI card a while back as a second to an AGP card and never saw any slow downs because of it.

yep normal PCI works fine. i use an 8800GTS for two of my monitors (dell 2407 and gateway 19" WS), and a 5200 for another gateway 19" WS.

works great!
