Hey guys, i'm new around here... but i've been trying to mess around with OCing.... i've come to the conclusion that my mobo sucks already... and my first and best bet to get the best OC is to get a new mobo... was just wondering what experience do you guys have with this mobo and chip.

So far i've gotten sorta stable at 169 FSB and 10x multiplier, i have a JUICB 1700. Running at that multiplier and FSB i was at 1650Mhz... but from what i've been reading i'm supposed to be able to run into the 2000 easily... what vcore are they using when they OC that high?

I've left the memory timings at "normal", basically stock... just been playing around with the FSB and the Multiplier...

Is it more beneficial to be rising multiplier or the FSB? I'm under the impression that raising the FSB because it allows all the other components to communicate faster... but... in the back of my mind i'm thinking it will cause everything to run out of sync....

but hey.. any help will be GREATLY appreciated.... and yea.. i've tried the search function.... all i've been getting is "Dragon lite sucks for OC.... " but not much help with the optimal setting thing.... Thanks guys!

I run mine at 1.6V and I have it upto a 2100+ prefectly stable on this MSI 266A board. THEN on my Soyo Dragon Lite, I have a 2100+ that barely overclocks to a 2400+ stable, with .75V increase at 1.75V. I agree, the Soyo Dragon Lite, board sucks. Make sure you update your bios, or else you can't even play NS, a half life mod cause of some stupid errors.

I think the Dragon lite doesn't have the propert pci divider to run anything higher than 133 FSB at the 33Mhz pci spec. Not 100% sure on this, confirmation would be appreciated because I have to deal with this board as well and would like to know exactly what it is (and isn't) capable of.

yes, the soyo kt333 dragons (lite, black, platinum) are limited to 1/4 pci multiplier. even @ 166 which brings you to a 41.5MHz pci & 83MHz AGP.

i ran 166 fine, but 170 it crapped out. raising multiplier @ 166 showed it wasn't the CPU as bottleneck.
