Help with DoS paper

I'm trying to develop a list of the types of attacks that can be
perpetrated on computer systems. Could you do me a favor and add to/edit
this list? I'm worried that one type might be a subset of another, etc.

denial-of-service attacks, email-borne viruses, firewall attacks,
syn-flood attacks

What else am I missing?

Add insider to the list as well. Meaning, someone who works for the company and does something malicious with their access and/or knowledge.
