Hey!

I have a Radeon VE and a 15" LG Monitor with a max resolution of 1024x768. Now the trouble is that I loaded the default drivers of the display Card and whenever the PC boots, I get the win98 startup screen and then the monitor goes into suspend mode. I think the drivers probably forced the monitor to display at a higher resolution or/and refresh rate then the monitor is capable of! I tried reloading win98 but that doesn't help either! Please help! I cannot go into the safe mode as I dual boot with win2k and once I select win98. I no longer have the option to go into the safe mode as I don't get the "starting win98" but it directly goes into the startup screen. any other options?
any help greatly appreciated!!

 
i dual boot 98 and win2k and can still get into safe mode...as soon as you select win98, just keep hitting F8..may take a couple tries, but you *should* be able to get in...i can

assuming you can then get into safe mode, simply remove your display adapter from device manager, reboot, and re-install drivers
 
thanx. will try it out. the trouble is that if i hit f8 a little sooner I get the trouble-shooting mode of win2k and not win98.
