Ok i have ZA installed on my server and this computer and it is working apart form 1 fairly major little thing. I have set the server machine to be on an ICS gateway and put it's IP in as 192.168.0.1 (as it is) and click surpress alerts if forwarded to client.

I have also installed zone alarm on this box and stuck in that is is on an ICS gateway IP 192.168.0.1, and clicked forward alerts from gateway to this computer.

However it just don't seam to want to work, i have about 130 alerts on the server now and only 4 on my computer all being internal network stuff. I have made sure that both computers are in each others local zone and tried playing around with other stuff but no luck :(

Any ideas??? :(

Alex :)

Edited on sugestion, but no NEF'ing i want answers! ;)

Do you have any other computers on the network that may be causing the alerts? Because if another computer that doesn't have ZA installed tries to connect and causes an alert then ZA doesn't have anywhere to forward the alert to, so it just sits on the server.

Also, make sure you check the little box saying not to show alerts again :)

Hope you get this sorted out :)

I can't help answer the question, but around here, I can guarrantee your thread traffic will double the instant you change your title's wording from "dam" to "dasm" ;):D Of course, you also double the risk of random acts of neffing... LOL :D Good luck with the configuration problem!

I assume you have ZA Pro? It's WAY better for a LAN. Personnally, I just disable logging on all my LAN PC's...there's just too much to log. It's amazing how many port scans, etc happen over a broadband connection. Within 5 min of adding a pc on my home LAN it's attacked from the outside. I really HATE the losers doing this crap!
