Help with Curl audio scraping

I would like to scrape pronunciation files from a dictionary somewhere. Something like....
http://www.wordcentral.com/
When you enter a word... say apple it leads you to
http://www.wordcentral.com/cgi-bin/audio.pl?apple001.wav=apple'
which when you do “Click to listen with default audio player” goes to....
http://media.merriam-webster.com/soundc11/a/apple001.wav

I’d like to save this file with a script. The format for the directory/file seems to change slightly depending on the word. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
