Help with crashs in Q3.

I have a CLA2 with the 5.22 drivers. Norton crashguard says its a "32-bit type" crash. Crashguard shows problem with "NVOPENGL.DLL" Anyone havin/had this problem? Really appreciate any help
 
What OS? That looks like a driver file...try upgrading to 5.32 if you're in Win2k or the new leaked 6.01 if 95/98. Make sure you uninstall old drivers first.
 
So I uninstalled the 5.22 ref drivers and installed the 6.01 drivers following the directions. But I can only go up to 1024x768 with 256 colors. It shows my adapter as "NVIDIA GeForce2 GTS" but there is no GeForce tabs within advanced in the display properties. Whats up with that? What did I do wrong?
 
Have you rebooted? The proper way to install new drivers is this:

1. Unistall old drivers
2. Switch to standard VGA mode
3. Reboot
4. Install new drivers
5. Reboot

Did you do that?
 
yes, thats exactly what I did. Why doesn't this version have the install program that the 5.22 drivers have? Is it because 5.22 are official release drivers?
 
Just in case anyone gives a rats a*s, I was able to get the 6.01 drivers installed. So far they work fine. I've played a little Q3 without a problem. I'll bench them later and continue to see if I can go crash free. Thanks for all the help guys, I really appreciate it. 🙂
