help with cpu temperature

can some one tell me what is the right temperature on a p42.00A @ 2.58 i know that can be hard to tell but what should be my temperature on(on the safe side) my cpu in low used and hig used so that way i can set up

rigt now i got
system: 38 c
vCORE:1.70
I have antec full tower with 3 fan on front(1 for the hd) 2 fan rear plus 2 on pci slot chassis


cpu :48 c and very up to 55C on regular use is that bad?


all thos reading are from my speedfan software version 4.08

Although I can't comment much on P4 temps due to lack of experience, I can tell you that 38c is a pretty high system temp. What kind of case cooling do you have?

EDIT: Also, what is your voltage at?
 
I agree, 38C is pretty high for your case. That's about 100F. Seems strange if you have 5 case fans already. Is the ambiant room temp high?
 
That is a bit high.
How warm is your room?

To compare I have a P4 2.0a @ 3.04

room temp: 24c
system temp: 25c
idle cpu: 35c, 100% cpu load: 50c

EDIT: BTW, I use silentTek (came with my motherboard) and MBM 5 for the reading.
