Help with Cooling Fans

I just bought a new computer (in individual pieces) and am trying to get the fans working. On each fan in the case, I have (2) Four-Pin Connectors. One Four Pin Connector is male and the other Four Pin Connector is female. The power supply provides only the Four Pin female connector. Can someone please advise how to connect these fans?

Do both the Four Pin Connectors on the fans need to be connected or do I plug the power supply's female end into the case fan's male end and leave the case fan's female end disconnected? As a bonus question, I have 2 connectors on the power supply labeled "Fan Only". How would I connect these? Thanks for your help!

the fans have two connectors so you still have power and do not lose a connector they can also be daisy cahine d this way
DO NOT PLUG THE PSU INTO ITSELF!!
this can easily happen and will kill the psu

Thanks for the reply. Just to clarify: does this mean that the 4 Pin female connector plugs into the 4 Pin male connector of Fan 1 and that the female connector of Fan 1 plugs into the male connector of Fan 2 with the female connector of Fan 2 remaining unplugged? Thanks!

Ok, generally, most case fans are wired that way, to support "pass through" usage of the molex connectors coming off of the power-supply (PSU). You plug one of the PSU's female connectors onto the case fan's male molex connector. If you don't need it, then just leave the case fan's female molex connector unconnected. Otherwise, you can plug it into another device, like a HD or a CD-ROM, the same way that you would have plugged the PSU's female molex connector into, had the case fan not been wired in.

If you want to, yes, you can choose to "daisy chain" both fans into each other, if the wiring reaches. You would connect a PSU female molex, to case fan 1 male molex, and then case fan 1 female molex to case fan 2 male molex, etc.

If the "fan only" leads coming off of the PSU, are 4-pin female molex connectors, then you can use those. Generally fans draw from the 12v line, so those leads probably only supply 12v power, and not 5v, which is why you cannot use them for normal devices like HDs and CD-ROM, which require *both* 5v and 12v power to operate.
