Hello everyone, I do apologize if this post is very long. I'm trying to convert my old telephone line to Ethernet to be able to have wired internet in every room of my house. I do have WI-FI throughout the house however, I need to do this so as to pave the way in me getting rid of my cable.

My house is only 5 years old (Purchased brand new) and was already wired with CAT5e cable so it was very easy for me to add the keystone jacks to each room but here is where the problem comes in; The wiring for every room (6) is individually routed to the outside of the house bundle together with about 8" in length next to my electric meter box and cable connection which I heard is very bad for Ethernet. There is no junction box covering the wire because my phone line was previously connected Via VOIP through the cable company and I never really had a real telephone line ran to the house. I thought about making a junction block somewhere on the inside of the house but the way they designed the house, it's virtually impossible to get to the wires.

So far what I did was to temporarily connect and crimp all the wires outside by color codes, and tape everything together. Then I test every room for continuity with a LAN tester and everything showed up OK. I then plug my Ethernet in one of the keystone jack and check for internet in every room with my laptop received no connection. I assume that the connections outside is what is causing the problem along with the fact that the wire is exposed to the weather.

What is the best way to resolve this issue? Am I able to get a punch down block to be used outside and would that fix the issue. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Forgive me if there was any previous post that address this issue. I search for a while and didn't come across anything that may be able to help me.
