Hey guys i have a question, i am doing a event in a convention center. My issue is i had to pay alot of money to get a 3mb internet connection. I thought i could then hook my router up to the line and feed 2 other computers. But when i hook it up i can never get it to work, so i called them and to see whats going on, and they want another 2k dollars for me to hook up my router on bandwidth i have already bought or they will sell me IP address for like $400 each, but not give me any more bandwidth. This is robbery IMO. I can hook up any of the 3 computers and get online, with the static ip, gateway, and dns info. but if i put all that info into the router and try it, it doesnt work. i have also tried cloning my mac address from the computer and coping it to the router and still no luck. Any ideas, i can pay them even more money for bandwidth i have already bought, Anyone have any ideas? thanks

If you cloned the mac address of one of the computers that it does work on into the router and also progammed the IP, subnet, gateway and DNS into the router, it should work. What are the first two octets of the IP they gave you and what are the first two octets of the LAN IP address of your router? Example, if the IP they gave you is 123.456.789.012 the first two octets are 123.456

Also, what CPE device did they give you that you are able to hook up three of your computers to? Make and model?
