Help with connecting two XP pc's.

When I try to connect from one XP professional computer to another XP pro. it just fives me a choice to connect ot the Guest account. But the guest accnt is disabled on the machine. WHy doesn't it give the option to log on to it through one of the other accounts I have?????????????????????????????????/

Have you tried disabling simple file sharing? In any explorer window, go to tools, folder options, views, and make sure the very last option (use simple file sharing) is unchecked. It should then allow you to enter a username and password. Good luck!

Edit: You also might want to reboot after making the change, as I'm not sure how long it takes for that option to take effect.

I'll give it a shot but do I need to do it on both pc's?
