Hello,
I bought a Pioneer Elite vsx51 recently. The TV is Panasonic TC-P50GT25 (Plasma) and I also have a Sony blu ray player. I connected blu ray player to Pioneer Elite via HDMI cable and it (Elite) in turn is connected to TV via HDMI cable. The comcast box is also connected to Pioneer Elite.
Using the Pioneer receiver remote I can choose BD and play music CDs. Here is the problem I have. In order to listen to the Music played in blu ray player, I still *must* turn on the TV. If I turn off the TV then no music.
The problem I have is if the TV is turned on, then a steady image is displayed on the plasma TV and I can see it gets burned in.
Is there any other way I can listen to CD music without having to turn on TV?
I appreciate any hints/suggestions.
-Ravi
