Have been beating me head over this one for a while now, and am unsure what the problem is. I have a Compaq 1688 Laptop with an ATI Rage LT Pro GFX card. There is no OS on the system. When I boot, I do not see the logo screen, and can not seem to get into the BIOS. Only half the screen is used, and all the text is cut in half (bottom half of text is missing). I can boot with a 98 Boot disk ok, but once again, only half sceen and half text. I have tried the ATI Diagnostic utility, that seems to display ok, but will report an error ID of 88821. I can find no information on what this error is. ATI tech support says to call Compaq (HP) and they say to call ATI. Any help would be greatly appriciated.
