Ok, so here's the setup and the problem:
Got the motorola surfboard cablemodem hooked to a D-Link wireless router, which sends the signal to my computer, my girlfriend's laptop, and my roomate's laptop (though here is another issue - her lappy will recognize that there is a network, get a strong signal, but won't connect, even if the rest of us can - instead she runs a cable now)... Comcast was set up with my computer, and i set up the router to clone the MAC Address of the wired LAN card.
This works fine until comcast renews whatever it is they renew, at which point it stops working... I think what is happeneing is that it isn't understanding what exactly to renew it to... Instead of just looking for the MAC address of the router, it takes the address of one of our computers - making me change the router's mac address to whatever it decides to choose...
So, if someone can give me very easy to understand directions on what to do, it would be much appreciated.
No links... i want advice from you all, not whoosits from over there speaking in a general sense.
