Help with Clevo P170EM

Well, I have a rebranded Clevo P170EM and since I reformted it I'm having all sort of problems (the f..ink laptops are gonna drive me crazy😡 Can't they just work like the desktops?).

I think (I'm pretty sure actually) that I've installed all the drivers for this model and they're up to date, but I'm havin 3 issues right now. I'm really ofuscated with this laptop so even if you think that it might something really basic say it because I've reinstalled everything so many times that I might be forgetting something:

-If it suspends it doesn't come back. I think that the laptop actually gets off suspension but I don't get screen output.
-When it's idle and the screen turns black the the fans go to maximum speed without aparent reason, once you move the mouse or touch any key they spin down.
-Virtualbox doesn't recognize the laptop as x64, so maybe Vt-x is not working? I checked the BIOS, but it's a AMI that's as shitty as it gets, so no option to enable/disable virtualization.

If you're interested in the specs (just what might be relevant, to keep it short):
-i7 3740qm
-16GB DDR3 1600
-GTX680m
-120GB SSD
-750GB HDD

Appart from that just one advice: if someone is looking for a laptop like that, just forget about it if you can get by with something else. It's powerful, yes, but appart from that it's an overpriced pice of crap.

is it clean.is it overheating and did you try to clear cmos

Well, it throttles at 100% load to about 3'3-3'4GHz, but it doesn't have temperature problems while I'm using it.

How do I clear de CMOS? Just disconnect de motherboard battery and put it back in?

OK, what were the original problems that made you reformat in the first place?

None, I just wanted to give windows 8.1 because I have afrind that's a microsoft student partner and he talked me into it so, despite hating windows 8, I gave it a try. I hated windows 8.1 as much as w8 so I came back to W7.

I think that the problems started when I messed with the memory configurations in Intel Extreme Utility (or something like that) and I had to remove the battery from the motherboard because it refused to boot. And from then I suffering all this problems.

Also, did you use the drivers off the Clevo site?

I had a lot of problems with clevo drivers, I also had problems with the laptop "manufacturer" drivers.

I spent a whole week trying to install drivers because when I tried to install them the computer said that they where not compatible with my system. I called the manufacturer and they didn't help me at all. All they could come by was: "well, you can send the laptop to our offices (paying the shipping) and we can look into it, and about a month later you'll get it back, but if it's not a hardware problem you're gonna have to pay the technicians"

So, I bought what they said it was a mobile workstation (they had a gaming line, I bought the workstation one) with pro support and it turns out that the support is pure shit.

Anyway, finally I found a Clevo CD that came with the laptop and those drivers did work, so yes, I've installed the Clevo drivers.
