Help with clean install of win 98se

Hi All

I'm trying to clean my hd and re-install win98.

I used my emergency disk and tried to fdisk my drives. however the program don't reconize my drives.

I have 4 drives on my hd. I also logged off to ms dos and tried it from there. fdisk worked however after I deleted my drives I re booted my system with the emengency disk and it didn't find my drive again. (I created a primary drive).

I rebooted my system and it came back up with my go back program so I was able to convert my drive back to it's orginally state.

I still can figuer out why go back was still active, it should have be deleted when I deleted all my drives.

Now I'm scared to fdisk and format my hd from dos without using the win back-up disk. I think I stll could do it without using the back up disk however eveything I have read said you should boot up with back up disk and then use the fdisk and format command.

also I was wondering if my problems are from the Go back program I use on my system it's version 2.5 I think.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Thanks Again

You have to ACTIVATE your primary parition and the boot disk should also load your cdrom drivers to install it from CD.
