I have been using Qwest DSL with Dynamic IP for a while with a Cisco 605 internal modem. I now have access to an external router (Cisco 675). Does anyone have a link to instructions on setting up the Cisco 675 for dynamic IP? I have tried setting it up to use PPP, but it will not train.

-thanks

I need to know if it is possible to run the external router with the "256 select" service, which is $19.95 per month here. That service uses dynamic IP addresses.

Sorry this config was NOT for the "Select Service" it was for the standard dynamic ALWAYS on DSL service...

Ok, i dug a little deeper...

675 on select service--they say it's not compatible.

Quote:
"if you hook your 675 up to the select service it will blow the LIM ports and you cannot connect. the cisco 675 router is not able to handle the select service, you do need the internal modem or you need to change to deluxe in order to get it to work."

Thats a quote from a tech at quest, on a public message board...
