help with choosing a power supply

I was looking at the Antec TRUE430 and the Enermax EG425P-VE-SFMA, but are either of these good? I prefer to have something quiet and between 50-75 dollars. Thanks for your suggestions.

Both are great PSU's. I cheaped out and got a Thermaltake 480 watt which I love. I OC some (2500+ @ 2.2ghz, BFG 6800GT @ ultra 400/1100) and it holds steady and strong. Combine that with 2 HDD, 2 optical drives, and a few fans.

But if you are all-ready going to spend the money to get an Antec or a Enermax, then go for them, I loved my old Enermax 350watt. It served (and still serves) me well after 3.5 years.

I have an Antec True 430, and I must say I'm a bit disappointed. The 12v and 5v rails are low (11.73, 4.75) and jump up and down quite a bit. If you want the king of the hill, go with the OCZ PowerStream series. From all indications they are worth the money.

An Enermax Noisetaker or Seasonic Super Silencer are what you want if quiet and quality are important to you. Silentpcreview.com is the place to go for quiet computing and those are what they recommend in the over 400W range. Newegg has the enermax noisetaker 420W for about $70. That ought to fit your needs nicely.
