I'm building a new computer - a performance/gaming based one. So far, I'm choosing some parts and stuff, here's the list.
Its subject to change, so please make any suggestions that you think of.

PSU - 800w Quiet PSU - http://www.internetct.co.uk/80...twin80mmfan-p-366.html - £27.03

Mobo - ASUS STRIKER II FORMULA - http://www.lambda-tek.com/computing/pcdesigner.htm - £148.19

CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0Ghz - http://www.eclipsecomputers.co...ct.aspx?code=CPI-E8400 - £126.44

GPU - NVIDIA 9800GT - http://www.eclipsecomputers.co...ode=GC-XN98GT512&af=50 - £71.59

HDD - SAMSUNG 750GB 32mb SATA - http://www.lambda-tek.com/computing/pcdesigner.htm - £47.56

RAM - EBAY - http://shop.ebay.co.uk/items/?...2GB+DDR2+RAM&_osacat=0 - 4GB £26 approx

Optical - LG GH-22NP20 - http://www.eclipsecomputers.co...ode=DRL-GH22NP20&af=50 - £19.26

My budget is going to be around the £500 mark. Can you suggest a good case + fans for this setup?

PSU too big..you only will need a 500w.

Don't know if you can shop on newegg.com but I have the antec 900 and I love it. Also the HAF gets good ratings. Your prob. going to want a mid tower with about 4 fans. Also if you OC get a good HSF as well. Also..if this is gaming you may want a better gpu. Depending on what res. you use..get a 4870 or 4890 ( or its equiv.)

3dgameman - 100% KICKASS 3dgameman.com : January 2009

"The Cooler Master Storm Sniper Case is feature for feature one of the very best mid-tower cases on the market. With three fans (2x200mm & 1x120mm) it has excellent air circulation, tool-less design, quality build, excellent styling, etc. It even comes with integrated handles at the top. This is the case you've been looking for! Watch the video to find out more..."

"In terms of its cooling capability, the Sniper bested an old favorite of mine, the Antec P180 series. The open mesh design and 200mm fans, offer incredible cooling performance without sacrificing noise levels. If this is any indication of the things to come, the CM Storm division may quickly become a new favorite among gamers and enthusiasts."

The Antec P18x series also tend to be pretty good cases. Or the Gigabyte 3D-Mars.

You also can't go wrong with a Lian-Li or Silverstone case. The LIAN LI PC-A70B or SILVERSTONE TJ09-BW are nice cases.

Yeah, if you can shop Newegg, i'd do that. I followed your link to the PSU & of all the ones listed, all but 4, I believe, had brand names (the 4 being CoolerMaster & Thermaltake).
I did a search on Newegg for cases that included PSU's (specifically Antec) & they had a Sonata Plus for $119.99. It includes a 550W NeoPower modular PSU. A good quality case & a decent name-brand PSU.
That should be sufficient for you.
