Help with "chip fan failure" message

My first post, and of course, a troubleshooting one.

Booting up this weekend, I received an error stating that there was a chip fan failure or clock speed running too slow problem. I checked the fan on the cpu and saw it was running. I rebooted several times and the error never appeared the rest of the weekend. Machine seemed to run fine.

Not sure how to interpret or what can be done to trobuleshoot. Anyone ever heard of something like this.

My specs:

Antec P160
Enermax EG565P-FMA
Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe NForce 4
AMD Athlon 64 3800+
THERMALTAKE A1838 CPU Heatsink/Fan
CORSAIR DDR 400 1GB
SEAGATE SATA 160G
EVGA 6800GT

Thanks,
Larry

I have not installed one, but I beleive it came standard with the board. I'll have to check when I get home. I also have to check the thread for this motherboard to see if this issue has appeared.
