Hey...I just got my first CD burner today :Acer 1208A. I am realizing the software that comes with it kinda sux (adaptec).Im looking for some good software you guys recommend.Anytips or advice to get started making backup copies of my software and making mp3 cds would be very helpful.
Thanx for any help

Nero 5.x version and Adaptec 4.x or higher would be alot better than the Adaptec 3.x version you probably recieved. Both these convert MP3 files to wav files automatically for you when creating a audio CD.

I prefer feurio for burning audio. Absolutely the best audio burning software. And for cd -> cd copying I find Padus disk juggler the best. For regular file to cd (from harddisk etc) nero is a nice program. But then adaptec and cequadrat does alright as well. For backups of games, nero, disk juggler, and blindread/blindwrite are nice.

Im almost exclucivly using feurio, disk juggler. And from time to time, nero and cequadrat and blindwrite.
