HELP! With Canon MP780 Printer

Hi all, first post here. I got a Canon MP780 printer for Xmas and I just installed it. Everything seemed to go well. Problem is every single time I try to print anything the computers resets itself. It does display some text on a blue screen of death, but it goes by too fast so I cannot read it. Anyone have any idea what would cause this. I tried multiple USB ports, 2 cables, reinstalled the MP drivers and it still does it. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance!
