I don't want to sound like an idiot, but I am absolutely clueless when it comes to the world of aftermarket gpu cooling. For CPUs, you have your sockets and screws, etc. I took one look at gpu hsfs and I have no understanding of their compatibility with graphics cards.
Do Nvidia and ATI have proprietary 'socket' sizes?
How do you know if a cooler will be compatible before you buy?
Do the newer GTX 400 series cards have hsf compatibility with the GTX 200 series cards?
Help!?
I need a 1-slot HSF cooler for a GTX 460 (stock)...
Idle Temp: 31
Load Temp (Furmark): 75
P.S. Any recommendations for a good VRM cooler brand?
