Help with buying a TV card (tuner)

Hello,

I have been recently thinking about buying such a card so I could throw out the TV in my room and use my LCD instead.
I have no knowledge whatsoever about such cards and so I am seeking help with buying one.
I can't even tell you what I'm looking for exactly because I have no idea what the options are.

My experience with this tuner (PVR) from Hauppauge has been good.

I haven't seen such good luck with a lot of the AIW cards from ATI.

If you are looking to receive HD channels I have heard many good things about the MYHD card. I have the Dvico FusionHDTV5 RT Gold and have been satisfied with it. I have also pwned the Haupagge PVR-150 and if you aren't going for HD it is a solid buy.
